The loss of outhalf Gordon Peavoy in the first half restricted the loser's options, and they went behind early on with Zach Farivarz crossing for Blackrock.
The Blackrock back line then combined to send Killian Stafford over. Centre James Power failed to add on his earlier conversion, but he was called on three times after the break with Eoin Baker (twice) and Mark Lynch crossing the line.
