FAI CUP/PREVIEWS AND SEMI-FINAL DRAW: Finn Harps, the only First Division side left in the competition, were given further incentive ahead of tonight's FAI Cup quarter-final replay against Dundalk in Ballybofey with the winners' reward a semi-final at home to cup specialists Shamrock Rovers.

Likewise, Bray Wanderers, who beat Finn Harps in the final three years ago, will relish a home tie with either Derry City or UCD if they can overcome Bohemians in their replay at the Carlisle Grounds tonight.

"If we manage to get past Dundalk, it's more good news financially for the club," said Finn Harps's manager, Jonathan Speak, after the draw made by Republic of Ireland manager Mick McCarthy and his predecessor, Jack Charlton.

"It's a big incentive for us, but it's also a big incentive for Dundalk. We are only two good home performances away from the final. While our minds are on tonight's game, this draw will certainly give us a lift. I'm sure they will be hanging from the rafters at Finn Park if we get through."

Rovers, the record 24-time winners, won't relish travelling to either Finn Park or Oriel Park as they strive to keep alive a possible treble of league, FAI Cup and League Cup.

"While a home draw would have been ideal, the semi-final of the cup is always going to be difficult whether you are at home or away," said the Rovers manager, Damien Richardson. "There is only half an ambiguity. We've either got Harps or Dundalk. Both are playing well and either will prove worthy opponents," added Richardson who won't be making the trip to Donegal to watch the game.

"The most important part of the competition at this stage is your own preparation, your own belief and attitude."
