Scottish FACup Semi-final: Today St Johnstone v Celtic Venue: Hampden Park Kick-off: 12.30pm On TV: Sky Sports 1:Celtic manager Gordon Strachan is targeting a league and cup double to help make up for slipping out of this season's Champions League.
The Glasgow side, who are three points away from the league title, take on second division St Johnstone today in a Scottish FA Cup semi-final.
"There is an excitement about the place as cup ties in general generate more excitement," said Strachan, for whom the Scottish Cup is the only domestic silverware that has so far eluded him since his arrival as manager at Parkhead.
"We want to win everything, obviously, but that has not been able to materialise because Falkirk beat us here on penalties (in the League Cup) and we got knocked out by AC Milan in extra time (in the Champions League).
"So that's been unfortunate because we would have loved to have won every trophy we went in for, but . . . we are still in with a chance of winning two, and that's what we want to achieve."
Strachan isn't impressed by early kick-off times and he reckons today's 12.30pm start, to accommodate television coverage, does nothing to boost the occasion.
"I don't think it's a good time for anybody. I don't think the journalists enjoy it and I don't think the fans enjoy it but we just have to get on with it.
"It's not the way I remember semi-finals, when it was a Saturday at three o'clock and we were all waiting for the result coming through at five o'clock. I prefer that but we're dictated by money rather than common sense these days."
Celtic will be hoping last week's Premier League win over Motherwell, albeit far from convincing, has signalled the end of a recent sticky spell.
"We try to perform in every game," Strachan said. "If the performance in terms of technique level isn't there then we have to get through by being a good team and good team-mates. To use an analogy in golf, you just have to fight your way through. If your putting goes off, you practise putting."
Strachan, meanwhile, was unwilling to comment on speculation linking Artur Boruc, Derek Riordan and Thomas Gravesen with moves away from the club this summer.
And he also refused to discuss the futures of Neil Lennon and Stephen McManus, who are both set for contract talks in the coming weeks.
"Speculation about Boruc, Riordan and Gravesen - it's not reality," he insisted. "When it becomes reality, we'll speak about it. That's it finished. As for (the) Lennon and McManus contracts, any contracts will be discussed when the dust has settled on the season."
Celtic's Republic of Ireland international winger Aiden McGeady has identified Jason Scotland as the man who can wreck the Hoops' hopes of a domestic double.
St Johnstone striker Scotland has hit 25 goals this term and McGeady fears the Trinidad & Tobago international.
"At the minute Jason Scotland is the danger man," he said. "They have a lot of good players but he is the one who is really doing it for them. He is scoring almost every week."
McGeady added: "I saw them earlier in the season against Motherwell and they did really well. They have beaten Rangers (in the CIS Insurance Cup) as well, so we can't underestimate them, they're a good team."
Celtic will be without injured striker Maciej Zurawski, who limped out of last week's game against Motherwell with a calf injury. Stephen McManus is eligible as his three-match ban applies only to the league.
