How can you shoot 49 points in the captain's prize and not win. Simple, when you are the captain. John Rockett is the captain of the AIB Bank Eastern area golfing Society and at his captain's prize in Headfort recently John shot the lights out with 49 points off a 19 handicap over the Co Meath venue.
However, as the captain's prize is played over the best three cards during the year, John had to settle for second place behind Barry O'Callaghan who won with 113 points from the captain and David La Grue who tied on 112 points.
