HAVING faced a virtually impossible task when meeting Anabatic at level weights at Listowel, The Outback Way should find the opposition in the Upperchurch Chase at Thurles this afternoon much more to his liking and the six-year-old is napped.

In a handicap, The Outback Way would have been receiving virtually two stone from the winner and so to be beaten only seven lengths was a reasonable effort. A reproduction of that run should be sufficient to see off the challenge of Ever So Bold, a winner over fences at Tramore last year.

Bronica was also in action at Listowel and was a staying third in a big field to Tidjani. Charlie Swan now takes the mount on the four-year-old in the Eliogarty Handicap Hurdle and this partnership could get home ahead of Bakema, a Flat handicap winner at Clonmel back in May.

Listowel form could provide the answer to the Glen Maiden.

Nazmi, who recorded one of his two bumper winners over this course, was not surprisingly outclassed by Theatreworld and Mystical City at the Kerry venue when a distant third, but this contest is a considerable drop in class and he might win at rewarding odds.

No News was a neck behind Murphy's Malt in a Flat Maiden at Clonmel and the pair meet again in a Tipperary Novice HurdIe. No News, a maiden hurdle hurdle winner at Wexford, may find the concession of almost a stone to Murphy's Malt beyond him.

Munif has been running in Listed races and so should have no problem in taking the Bab Babes Welter Race, but the odds are certain to be prohibitive.

Castalino, allowed 3lb for a half length beating by Ballyboden at Listowel, must have a reasonable chance of reversing the placings with the winner in the Thurles Handicap Chase; while Alice Brennan, fourth over the course and distance to Nazmi in April, could be the answer in the Liscahill INH Flat Race.
