Swansea cited three Stade Francais players yesterday for foul play following the clubs' bruising European Cup clash on Saturday. The Welsh club were making an instant response after the French champions earlier cited two Swansea players - Welsh international forwards Garin Jenkins and Andy Moore. In addition to Jenkins and Moore, Stade Francais trio Diego Dominguez, Fabrice Landreau and David Auradou are also in the dock.

Italian outhalf Dominguez was involved in the incident that led to Swansea's Wales flanker Colin Charvis being sent off for punching, and he subsequently received a two-match ban.

Swansea have cited Dominguez for kicking Charvis, while hooker Landreau has been pinpointed for allegedly stamping on Tyrone Maullin and then punching Moore. Auradou must answer a charge for kicking Maullin.

Jenkins and Moore will come before the competition's disciplinary commission, Jenkins for using his knee on prop Pieter De Villiers, who will be out for up to three weeks with a rib injury.

Swansea won the game 18-16, preserving their 100 per cent record in Pool Two, outhalf Arwel Thomas kicking all 18 points. But the game has now been totally overshadowed by subsequent reactions off the pitch, guaranteeing European Cup disciplinary chiefs a busy time.

Meanwhile, Toulouse full back Xavier Garbajosa, who was injured in Saturday's match against Cardiff, has a pulled hamstring in his right leg. He was initially thought to have had a torn right thigh muscle when he left the field in the 46th minute of a match Toulouse lost 26-17.

Club doctors say they still need a few more days to know how long he will be out of action. Toulouse play at home to Ulster on Sunday.

England's Premiership clubs have extended the deadline they set the English RFU over the implementation of Rob Andrew's blueprint for English professional rugby. English First Division Rugby (EFDR) told the RFU last week that there should be "no further delay" in implementing agreed sections of the Andrew plan.

They want the RFU to make "substantial progress" in a deadlocked dispute situation with their second division clubs over promotion and relegation.

EFDR had said that if that did not happen by midday yesterday, then they intended to implement as much of the Andrew plan as possible themselves.

However, they issued a statement yesterday revealing they have extended the deadline until tomorrow. It read: "EFDR can confirm they are currently engaged in intense, sensitive negotiations with the RFU.

"EFDR have agreed to extend today's noon deadline pending the RFU's management board meeting on Wednesday, where EFDR has been informed the negotiation agreement will be tabled."

The Andrew plan principles include creating a new Premier League, independent from existing leagues, a relegation/promotion play-off each season and a guaranteed £1.8 million per club.

Springbok and Western Province prop Cobus Visagie will not be available for the remainder of the year and is out of contention for a tour to Argentina, Ireland and Britain, due to a wrist injury. Tighthead prop Visagie suffered a dislocated small bone in his wrist during the Western Province game against the Boland Cavaliers on Saturday and will require surgery. "I am obviously very disappointed. It was always one of my dreams to play in Argentina and Ireland," Visagie said.

Due to the Munster v Bath European Cup match in Limerick next Saturday, the following changes have been made to All-Ireland League kick-off times: Bohemians v Bective Rangers, 11.30; Richmond v Instonians, 12.0; Sunday's Well v Greystones, 1.0.
