Longford Town v Shamrock Rovers (7.30) - Having returned from their whistle-stop tour of Europe's major airports, Stephen Kenny's men get back into league action this evening when Shamrock Rovers come to Flancare Park.

Despite the result Kenny says he is delighted with the way his team performed out in Bulgaria where, he insists, "they played the match of their lives against a good side that included five internationals". In the circumstances then it's hardly surprising, if Keith O'Connor fails to recover from a knock in the back he received over there, his replacement, Henry Kelly, is likely to be the only change to the side that started the UEFA Cup match.

Rovers are still without Marc Kenny and Gareth Cronin, both of whom are back in training after suffering long-term injuries, but Pat Scully and Tony Grant, who were suffering from a back injury and flu respectively, have both benefited from the postponement of the game.

Last season: Rovers 3 Longford 2, Longford 2 Rovers 1, Rovers 3 Longford 1.
