Women's Hockey: Despite the best efforts of their rivals at Grange Road over the weekend, there's just no stopping Ulster at under-18 level, the province winning its seventh successive interprovincial title yesterday.

Only hosts Leinster avoided defeat at the hands of the defending champions, drawing 2-2 on Saturday, but yesterday's draw with Connacht ended their hopes of winning their first under-18 title since 1996.

Ulster followed that draw with Leinster with comprehensive victories over Munster (5-1) and South East (4-0), Rachel Mulligan bringing her tournament tally to six goals in four games.

Results on the club front were predictable enough over the weekend, with Old Alexandra, Hermes and Pembroke Wanderers winning comfortably against Three Rock, Trinity and Corinthian, while in Ulster Pegasus, even as early as November, look on course to win a 10th successive league title after beating closest rivals Randalstown 2-1 on Saturday, with Suzanne Beaney and Jill Orbinson getting their goals.
