Clare will meet Kilkenny on Sunday at Thurles with a throw-in at 3.15 p.m.. Galway will face Tipperary at 6 p.m. in Ennis on Saturday evening.

In the football league finals on Sunday, Cork and Westmeath contest the Division Two final at 2 p.m. at Croke Park while Galway and Mayo take main billing for the first-division decider at 3.45p.m..

Limerick County Board chairman Donal Fitzgibbon has defended the decision taken by Munster Council to play last Saturday's provincial under-21 football final between Cork and Limerick at 3.30 p.m., on the same afternoon Munster played Stade Francais in the semi-finals of the European Cup.

Munster Council agreed to a switch to 4 p.m.. Fitzgibbon said it was ironic that after the GAA had taken a lot of flack there was no fuss that rugby clubs competed with the big game from France.
