All-Ireland League/ Dungannon 0; Clontarf 28; Clontarf made it through to the last four with a virtual demolition job on the All-Ireland League champions. The outcome was never in doubt once Ollie Winchester showed a clean pair of heels to the Dungannon cover and sprinted in for a try on 18 minutes.

Jimmy Dempsey, who had already kicked a penalty, converted, while Dungannon's only scoring chance, a Mark Bradley penalty drifted harmlessly wide.

The Dublin side, needing just a bonus point to qualify, were already sensing victory was theirs, and went in search of the haul of tries which would give them a home draw in the semi-finals.

Dave Moore and Ben Gissing both went close but the Dungannon defence held firm and restricted the first-half damage to 10-0, Dempsey adding his second penalty.
