KIT SYMONS believes Wales will revel in the role of underdogs for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Holland in Eindhoven.
The Dutch are firm favourites to complete a group seven double in the Philips Stadium after beating Bobby Gould's men 3-1 in Cardiff last month.
But Symons insists that will suit a depleted but defiant Welsh outfit down the ground. "We're used to being the underdogs and that can often help you to do well because it takes the pressure off you," argued Symons.
The Dutch, who welcome back Dennis Bergkamp, Marc Overmars and Michael Reiziger, promise to be a more potent force than they were in Cardiff.
Wales are less well off, having been hit hard by the loss of the suspended Mark Hughes and injured trio Ryan Giggs, Barry Horne and Nathan Blake.
But Symons is adamant that Wales will not go down without a fight in a return match that they can't afford to lose if they are to have a realistic chance of qualifying for the 1998 World Cup finals.
Wales play host to Turkey on December 14th and Belgium on March 29th and a point on Saturday would ensure they stayed on top of their group going into the former game.
