JASON WEAVER yesterday opted to continue his battle with the racing authorities by appealing against the latest ban that is set to rule him out of the Cesarewitch meeting.

The jockey will challenge a suspension for irresponsible riding after he collected a four-day sentence at Pontefract on Monday. If the ban is confirmed, a five-day suspended punishment will also be activated, taking his total for the year to 42.
