SOCCER:SLIGO ROVERS manager Paul Cook is hoping the home support can maintain the atmosphere that marked their recent Europa League clash against Ukrainian side Vorskla Poltava and help keep the team at the top of the table by beating Bohemians at the Showgrounds tonight, writes Paul Buttner.
“The supporters have been fantastic recently,” said Cook. “I genuinely think the fans can make the difference in the coming weeks and I’m not saying that for the sake of it.”
Sligo are without defender-cum-midfielder Danny Ventre who is suspended while regular right back Alan Keane is almost certainly out with a thigh injury.
Bohemians won 2-1 in Sligo back in April with goals from Stephen Traynor and Anthony Flood. Neither, however, are available to manager Pat Fenlon tonight due to injury.
