DUNFERMLINE COULD face Celtic in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup if they are allowed to stay in the competition after fielding an ineligible player.

Calum Woods came off the bench in the second half of the 7-1 fourth-round victory over Stenhousemuir at East End Park on Saturday afternoon, despite the Scottish Football Association’s official suspensions list declaring him banned for the match.

A decision is expected early in the week.

Jim McIntyre’s men were first out of the hat in the draw for the last 16 but postponements due to weather conditions over the weekend means no ties have been finalised.
