Share your story: Have you tested positive for Covid-19 after being vaccinated?

We would like to hear about ‘breakthrough’ coronavirus-disease infections

The uptake of the Covid-19 vaccines in Ireland has been extremely high: the vast majority of adults in Ireland have now been fully inoculated. But vaccinated people can and do contract coronavirus disease, in what are known as breakthrough infections, because no vaccine is 100 per cent effective.

We would like to hear from you if you have been fully vaccinated but still, unfortunately, subsequently tested positive for Covid-19.

  • How do you think you got Covid?
  • What were the symptoms like?
  • Did you recover quickly?
  • Do you think you may have passed Covid-19 on to someone else?

It may not be possible to publish every submission we receive, but if yours is selected, we may contact you to arrange a follow-up interview (via email, or, if you want to, please include a phone number).
