Sir, – David McWilliams wonders if millennials will kill the banking industry (Opinion & Analysis, September 8th).
In 2015, the European Commission published a green paper, “Better products, more choice, and greater opportunities for consumers and businesses”. It would alleviate the need for millennials to kill anything if the EU were actually a free market and Irish people could price their mortgages, loans and insurance needs across Europe. It’s about time Europe had a single financial services market. Does anyone know what happened to this utopian green paper? – Yours, etc,
