Business Development Manager - Irish Times Training

We are seeking to grow our management team through the addition of an experienced, solutions focused and strategic Business Development Manager.

Irish Times Training has been in the professional development and education business for over 40 years. As a subsidiary of The Irish Times, we work with a broad range of people and organisations to deliver the highest quality training in Business, Management, Digital Marketing, Personal Development & Executive Education programmes.

We are seeking to grow our management team through the addition of an experienced, solutions focused and strategic Business Development Manager.  Reporting into the Managing Director of Irish Times Training, the successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing development and growth of the business.

This position will be responsible for building on the success of our existing business and driving the development of new products and services in a sector with evolving professional training and education requirements.  Operationally the role will manage the business development function which includes account management, programme management and business development activities.

Candidates will have a proven track record of managing successful partnerships and increasing revenue while having the ability to create and prioritise. They will be highly motivated with a background in sales and will have senior commercial experience. The role requires excellent influencing and negotiation skills and the ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Previous experience managing teams will be important.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the capacity to intuitively engage with clients and customers.  S/he will demonstrate a strong track record of sourcing business leads and innovative solutions in an environment with changing priorities and demands.
