The Irish Times Content Studio was created to drive brand stories, engage audiences with commercial content and to enhance the working relationship with our many commercial partners. The objective of Content Studio is to create and produce the Group’s commercial content and to develop third-party commercial projects.

The Digital Journalist will work as part of the Content Studio team, editing and web publishing sponsored and other commercial content on company platforms. The successful candidate will manage production across the day and week and ensure there is a steady flow of content published and promoted. S/he will be responsible for the writing, scheduling, targeting and promotion of Special Reports posts and Content Studio posts across our social channels.

The Digital Journalist will also support the Content Studio Editor in the coordination of commissioned work in the area and provide general editorial assistance.

The role will also involve liaising with other departments and collaborating with the media solutions department on pitch ideas for digital briefs.

The person appointed should be a self-starter and be able to show an ability to work well on their own initiative. S/he should possess strong digital, social media and sub-editing skills and good editorial judgment. Good communications skills and flexibility are important in this role, as is an ability to work with the latest technology.
