We wish to appoint an eCommerce Specialist to join the Digital Subscriptions Sales team.

The person appointed will be responsible for developing and managing our online content sales for a range of digital subscriptions, products and offers.  S/he will manage the optimisation of the digital sales funnel with the goal of increasing subscription sales and maximizing retention of existing subscribers. The successful candidate will also assist with the design, management and implementation of a digital subscriber retention lifecycle marketing strategy. Using insights from continuous testing and customer data while observing industry best practices is a key part of this role. This is an opportunity to be part of building a strong digital future for The Irish Times in a fast-moving digital media environment.

The ideal candidate should have experience working in a similar role within eCommerce or Customer Value Management. Relevant knowledge of subscriber conversion and retention and an understanding of both organic and paid search marketing tools and techniques are important. Proven experience reporting on paid online marketing activity and experience with Google Analytics and additional analytics packages will be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate must have commercial acumen with an understanding of return on investment and a capability and confidence to propose improvement initiatives to contribute further to digital product development.

The candidate will be a multi-tasker who remains calm under pressure, has good attention to detail and an ability to work to deadlines.
