This role involves providing full mechanical maintenance and engineering support to the production processes at the Irish Times print plant.
The person appointed will be part of a highly skilled team that provides day-to-day support to various production systems such printing press and mailroom dispatch systems, automatic guided vehicles, conveyor systems, HVAC Systems and air compressors, chillers and other system facilities
The successful candidate will be an experienced qualified fitter and should hold a certificate/diploma in mechanical engineering or its equivalent. Candidates will demonstrate a proven track record in high speed production maintenance on modern machinery, excellent fault-finding skills in relation to mechanical/electronic equipment and a familiarity with computer systems
Experience in a print/packaging equipment environment would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided. The ability to work using one’s own initiative and as part of a team is essential to this position.
