Northern Correspondent

We would like to appoint a Northern Correspondent.

The successful candidate will have an established track record as a general reporter.  S/he will have a broad knowledge of current affairs and will be able to write news and analysis across all platforms.  This role requires a high degree of flexibility, adaptability and an ability to produce first-class work to deadline.
 
The role will contribute to the planning and executing of Northern Ireland coverage.  The person appointed will assist the Northern Editor to expand coverage in Northern Ireland in consultation with the Newsdesk in Dublin.

The successful candidate will contribute news reports and features articles for all sections of The Irish Times and provide authoritative reporting and analysis of events as required.

Appointees must demonstrate their ability to work independently and with others. They must also possess initiative, excellent judgment, decisiveness and good interpersonal skills.
