Applications are invited for the position of Systems Administrator within our Infrastructure and Operations team.

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure and Operations, the person appointed will be responsible for the management of key IT systems, communications and data administration.

The role involves analysing logs and identifying potential issues with IT systems, applying IT updates, patches and configuration changes to key systems and ensuring that adequate backups for key systems are taken and stored securely.  The person appointed will assist service desk technicians with escalated IT queries, perform routine audits of systems and software and assist in defining and implementing security policy.  S/he will assist in managing data security and ensure that infrastructure for disaster recovery is up to date and functioning.

Candidates will have previous experience working with Microsoft windows servers administration, active directory administration, Citrix Xen Desktop, Citrix XenMobile and VMware vSphere/ESX.  S/he will also be experienced in monitoring network performance and installing and configuring databases.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills and will demonstrate an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
