Now in its ninth year, the Pharma Industry Awards recognised an impressive collection of projects and initiatives, all in competition for one of 29 prestigious trophies to be won.
The winners were announced at a live awards ceremony on November 10th at the Dublin Convention Centre, hosted by Jarlath Regan
The Irish Times was Communications Partner to the Awards, which were supported by Shannon ABC, The National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training, The Pharmaceutical Managers’ Institute of Ireland, and Amárach Research.
Notable winners on the night included Brian Glennon and Mark Barrett, co-recipients of the Pharma Leader 2022 Award, and APC, which took the Grand Prix, Pharma Industry Company of the Year Award.

Mark Barrett, group chief executive and co-founder of APC & VLE Therapeutics, said, “With a team of almost 300 pharma professionals, we have worked on over 400 medicines in the last 10 years. Another award winner was Hanley Calibration. According to managing director Aidan O’Mahony, “Hanley have been supplying Calibration, Validation and Resource Hire Services to the Pharma Industries for over 30 years. It was a great honour to receive the award for the overall Pharma Supplier of the year for 2022, which recognises the great work being done by all of our employees. We have always kept a family feel to the company while providing outstanding quality service to our customers and we are proud to receive this recognition for a job well done.”
Joining as a sponsor was Actylis, whose global communications manager, Paul Staunton said: “As a long-time supporter of the Pharma Industry Awards, and former winners, we understand the importance of awards – they’re recognition of high-quality work by our industry and reward our employees for their hard work and dedication. They were joined on the podium by United Drug. Managing director Paul Reilly said, “For us, this award acknowledges but most importantly gives recognition to our team’s personal commitment, tireless efforts and attention to detail over the past 24 months.
