A newly built family home situated in the village of Clareen, at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains in Co Offaly has recently welcomed the addition of a Grant integrated heating package.

Leading heating technology manufacturer Grant has sparked the interest of many self-builders throughout Ireland, with its integrated heating packages for new build homes. This is due to the high efficiencies and long-term financial and carbon savings the packages can deliver for the homeowner.

The package installed in this project for the Gath family features highly efficient, complimenting heating technologies including a main heat source, hot water storage, heat emitters and smart heating controls. All technologies were carefully combined to maximise efficiency and sized and specified to suit both the home and the homeowner’s preferences and heating needs.

The main heat source of choice for this modern new build was the A+++ rated Grant Aerona R32 10kW air to water air source heat pump. The Aerona range offers a cleaner, more environmentally friendly performance and can lower a property’s overall carbon footprint, whilst helping to achieve required compliance under building energy standards.

Speaking about the project, homeowner Dermot Gath said: “Since installing our Grant Aerona R32 heat pump we have found the heating system to be very efficient and reliable. No matter what the weather is like outside, when you come into the house it’s always the same consistent and comfortable temperature.”

A space saving, sleek and stylish, Grant Integrated Unit was installed for domestic hot water needs. The unit has been developed to work seamlessly with the Grant Aerona R32 air to water air source heat pump, ensuring the Gath family can avail of an optimum efficiency, complete heating solution that can be relied on for many years to come.

The heat emitter chosen for this home was the Grant Uflex underfloor heating system, which has been designed specifically for each room in the home. The Uflex underfloor heating system offers an efficient heating solution as it works effectively with low temperature systems and is perfect for those who prefer a modern and minimalistic home decor look.

To complete this beautiful new build project, the Gath family opted for Grant smart controls to control the heating system. The controls can be set to provide different room temperatures and different time intervals on individual heating zones, with the click of a button and can be operated using an app on a smartphone.

Dermot adds: “We knew we could trust Grant to heat our home and are delighted that we could get everything needed from the one company. Our contractors were also pleased to have the support of the Grant team throughout the process from the design stage right through to installation. Grant commissioned the heat pump and took the time to show us how to operate the system which was great.”
