Supply chain and freight specialist Kuehne+Nagel’s backing for the Pharma Industry Awards makes it the magnificent seven

International freight giant and supply chain manager Kuehne+Nagel has thrown its weight behind the Pharma Industry Awards for the seventh year running

With a specialist healthcare team around the world, Kuehne+Nagel will again be Title Sponsor for the prestigious Pharma Industry Awards 2024, now in their 11th year. The awards bring together Ireland’s finest pharma professionals at a gala dinner in October. It is the pre-eminent event in the pharma calendar.

Last year saw 28 different awards handed out. Leadership and management of all aspects of the industry, from technology to human resources and encouraging diversity, get showcased. These sit alongside awards for sustainability, communication and niche projects. All facets of the pharmaceutical supply chain have a focus within the awards. Winners came from global brands to small local firms.

The pharma industry is vital to Ireland’s economy, representing about one-third of all manufacturing. According to the Central Statistics Office’s latest full-year figures (2002), the pharmaceutical sector reported the highest net selling value (NSV) of all manufacturing – at €42.3bn. This represented 32% of the €132bn total value of all products made in Ireland.

The awards provide an opportunity for industry leaders to meet and exchange best practice. Old business relationships are rekindled and new opportunities seized. The Pharma Industry Awards are highly praised not just for the recognition cast on the deserving winners but for the networking opportunity they present.
