How do the Fairco team help design the windows for each home?
Firstly, our team visit your home to get the exact measurement for every opening. Then they consult you on your interior colours, and see what will work well with your external walls – be they granite, render or redbrick. We then discuss the various design options as per the customers tastes. Our elegant sash windows are tailor-made to match your design needs.
Can sash windows be customised?
We offer an unparalleled variety of options to match the authentic look of a particular home, such as astragal bars, decorative horns, deep bottom rails and arched head sashes.
With optional seamless run through horns or unique seahorse horns we can replicate the style commonly found on Edwardian, Victorian or Georgian style windows. Although sash horns were purely decorative, they were often used by joiners to demonstrate superior craftsmanship and are a great finishing touch for homeowners looking for perfect timber style.
Is it possible to customise the colours?
Of course. Colour and finishes are an integral finishing touch for our heritage sash windows. They are available in 10 colours, with the possibility to have different colours inside and outside.

How energy efficient are modern sash windows?
While our heritage sash windows are indistinguishable from timber windows in terms of aesthetic style, they offer an unmistakable modern performance. With an A energy rating as standard, they are an excellent replacement, offering excellent thermal performance and a great level of security. They are draught-proof, thermally insulated and double glazed for maximum warmth, significantly reducing annual heating costs.
