Facilities Management is a fundamental support structure essential to so many businesses and industries across Ireland, offering a wide variety of services spanning security to maintenance right through to cleaning, to name just a few.
The vital role played by this sector was even more obvious as the pandemic took hold, and the 2022 Facilities Management Awards showcase the management, planning, execution and collaboration that were instrumental in allowing businesses across the nation to continue operating safely.
The sector was well-represented at the awards across the 19 prestigious trophies handed out on March 24th. The hard work poured into each entry was clear and impressive. With more than 32 companies featured at the Awards, the Irish sector showed that it leads by example.
The deserving winners were announced during a hybrid event with a live audience attending the gala event at Dublin’s Radisson Blu Royal Hotel and others attending an interactive virtual ceremony, which was hosted by broadcaster and comedian Colm O’Regan.
Now in its ninth year, the Awards were supported by a wide range of sponsoring businesses. One such sponsor was Tork, an Essity brand. "Tork are proud to once again sponsor the FM Awards," said sales director Liam Smith. "Improving cleaning quality, efficiency and providing a healthy work environment has become the No 1 priority for facility managers and we are supporting businesses across Ireland with the tools, services and expertise needed to make everyone feel safe.

Another of this year's sponsors was Sodexo. "We were delighted to be a sponsor to the Facilities Management Awards 2022," said managing director David Fox. One of the many trophies handed out on the day went to Pro-Tect Design & Technology. Head of sales David Goodall was delighted with the win: “Pro-Tect are very honoured that our Medical-Grade Air Purifiers have won the Innovation in Technology & Systems – Providers category at FM Awards 2022. This award recognises the quality of our Clean Air Technology and its significance as a key health and wellbeing tool within the Facilities Management sector.”
Another worthy winner was Sensori FM. “We are delighted to receive such distinguished industry recognition,” said managing director Mark Cullen. “We would like to thank all involved for a fantastic night of collaboration and celebration.
