DublinTown Food and Drink Festival is back to shine a spotlight on the city’s gastronomic outlets that are making the capital a world-class food and drink destination

DublinTown Food and Drink Festival

Running from October 14th to 20th, the DublinTown Food and Drink festival is a seven-day celebration of the establishments that feed and water the city from morning ‘til night.

Over 40 local city centre businesses are hosting experiences for the public to enjoy, from food trails and drink tastings to masterclasses and workshops. This great mix of activity is happening in restaurants, bars, cafes and hotels dotted across the city with their experiences all listed on a dedicated festival website - foodanddrinkfest.ie

For the first time ever, 4 Dublin-based whiskey distilleries have come together for a three-course whiskey tasting dinner in Balfes at The Westbury.

Whiskey Tasting & Food Pairing Experience at 37 Dawson - €25

This is hosted in their beautiful Whiskey Bar which boasts one of the largest selections of whiskeys in the city. You will be given a fun introduction to whiskey, some interesting facts and an opportunity to taste some of the best whiskey available both in Ireland and internationally.

Port Tasting Dinner Experience at The Port House - €60

Gin Master-Glass at Zozimus - €25

Taste Ireland's Best Coffee with a Coffee Tasting at Vice Coffee - €7.50

Join the Vice Coffee team to cup, sip & slurp a selection of the world’s finest coffees that have been roasted by some of Ireland’s best roasters. For this experience, you will be shown how to prepare and master the Irish Coffee. Their in-house whiskey expert will guide you through each step and give you lots of fun facts along the way, including the origins of this delicious drink. Then enjoy a slice of their delicious signature cheesecake to enjoy with your creation!

Coffee Tasting at Kaph - €25

Expert baristas from this much-loved coffee shop is going to show you how to make the perfect Carajillo (Spanish hot coffee drink to which a hard liquor) and Baileys coffees (like our famous Irish Coffee). You’ll also learn the art of great pour-over coffee while you sample some tasty coffees from around the world.

Multi-Sensory Coffee Experience with Irish Barista Champion Wojciech Tysler at Bewley's Grafton Street

This is an exclusive multi-sensory coffee workshop with Ireland’s Barista Champion 2019 and Bewley’s Barista-trainer, Wojciech Tysler. Join Bewley’s champion barista trainer perform his award-winning competition routine, a unique sensory coffee experience. Using a rare and unique blend Colombian coffee, a Geisha varietal with natural process, a really premium coffee with unique flavour. This session with Wojciech will awaken the senses with an innovative tasting series, exploring perception and playing with sight, colour, texture and sound for a coffee tasting with a difference! This one-off experience is priced at just €20

The main aim of this festival is to remind the public about the city’s wealth of talent that are working behind the scenes and to celebrate their skills. It is also a chance for the public to experience new food and drink establishments they may not have before or try something new.
