Head of central events

Commercial Revenue Unit, 3 year fixed-term contract, full-time. Appointment will be made on the senior administrative officer 3, Schedule B salary scale at a point in line with Government Pay Policy [€80,968 to €103,815 per annum]. Closing Date is 12 noon (Irish Standard Time) Thursday, 10th January 2019.

Trinity seeks to appoint a head of central events to an exciting new business-facing role for the newly created Central Events and Enquiries Office. The Office will be responsible for income generation through the identification and servicing of external events commensurate with the values of the university. The objective of establishing a Central Events function is to improve efficiencies in the organising, marketing, selling, booking and managing of events and support academic and student initiatives internally and maximize the potential of business tourism for Trinity.

HR project lead

Commercial Revenue Unit, specific-purpose contract (approximately 2 years). Appointment will be made on the administrative officer 1 salary scale, Schedule B (to the bar, points 1 -3) at a point in line with Government Pay Policy [€57,326 to €73,917 per annum], appointment will be made no higher than point 3. Trinity seeks to appoint a HR project lead who will join the management team of the Commercial Revenue Unit. The Commercial Revenue Unit (CRU) was formed in 2014 with the goal of maximising the commercial performance of Trinity's rental property portfolio, branding and partnership programmes, accommodation units, catering outlets, corporate events, visitor attractions, local and international retail channels. CRU is expected and is well on the way to delivering over €30 million operating profit by 2020/21, which will represent a 2X increase over 2013 baseline performance. This profit is used to fund the teaching and research needs of the university.
