Now in its ninth year, The National Procurement Awards are returning on November 15th, with leaders in the industry set to be recognised for their diligence over the past 12 months. The Awards champion the work being done throughout the private and public sector, with categories including Overall Excellence in Procurement, International Procurement Project of the Year, Best Procurement External Collaboration Project of the Year, and many more.
15 awards in total will be decided, and those who have made the shortlist are now eagerly anticipating the night. David Mangan, portfolio manager at Education Procurement Service, reacted to their achievement; "Since we first entered them in 2015, the National Procurement Awards have been a cornerstone to creating awareness and recognition, promoting and building the brand of the Education Procurement Service. The buzz the Awards generates amongst the team every year is palpable and we now consider the Awards an essential element of our annual communication and business development strategy."

There was an incredible increase in the volume of entries this year and the calibre of the shortlist shows the innovation and achievements within the industry over the last 12 months. Judge Francis Kehoe, head of finance and procurement of The Rotunda Hospital, spoke of the world class entries, saying; "What stands out from the entries is the diverse range of examples of innovative procurement. In public procurement this was evident in the form of the increased use of competitive dialogue."
