Smartforce, the e-learning group, has announced it will provide $20 million (€23 million) in information technology and business skills, to the first 5,000 pre-qualified disabled people to apply in the US. This comes as President Clinton launched a new initiative to bridge the digital divide for people with disabilities.
The scholarships will provide for free access by disabled people to Internet-based career learning that complies with new government standards for accessibility of technology to the handicapped.
