A Co Tyrone manufacturer of screening machinery has announced the investment of £5.4 million sterling in the expansion of production facilities at its plant in Omagh. The project, which is being supported by an IDB grant of almost £1 million, is expected to result in the creation of more than 50 new jobs over the next three years.

Finlay Hydrascreens was set up almost 40 years ago, and since 1991 it has been part of the Dungannon-based Powerscreen International Group. Earlier this month the company was awarded the Institute of Export's Northern Ireland Exporter of the Year Award for 1997.
