Warner Chilcott, the speciality pharmaceutical company, is to invest £6.6 million (€7.6 million) in a new project at its research and development (RD) facility in Larne, Co Antrim.
The company, which is headquartered in Ardee, Co Louth, said the investment would be used to boost the facility’s technical knowledge and capabilities.
“We believe that continuous investment in RD will be essential to our efforts to remain competitive,” said Dr Claire Gilligan, vice-president of UK operations at Warner Chilcott.
Invest Northern Ireland will provide £1.65 million in financial support.
