The three executive directors of housebuilding group Abbey shared a total of £556,000 in salaries and other payments last year, a big increase on the £381,000 paid to the three directors the previous year. The main reason for the increase was a jump in pension payments from £44,000 to £168,000. Salaries rose from £306,000 to £347,000 while benefits-in-kind rose from £16,000 to £26,000.
