July 28th: Mr Thomas Hudson was crushed to death when a block masonry wall collapsed in Longford.

July 20th: Mr Sean Tracey and Mr Robert Dunne were buried alive when the soil in their trench gave way in Newbridge, Co Kildare.

July 14th: Mr Thomas Smith fell to his death from the roof of a house at Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.

May 25th: Donal McCarthy, a 12-year-old boy playing at a Cashel building site, was crushed to death when a large concrete pipe rolled down an incline.

April 20th: Mr Paul Mullally fell to his death from a ladder while cleaning windows at Newbridge, Co Kildare.

April 13th: Mr George Winterburn fell to his death from a ladder while painting the gable end of a roof at Dungloe, Co Donegal.

March 14th: Mr Noel Wilson fell with a collapsing structure and was then crushed to death when an excavation machine fell on top of him at Teelin, Co Donegal.

March 9th: Mr William Goods fell from a roof onto concrete stairs at Tuam, Co Galway. He died two weeks later.

March 9th: Mr Michael Fitzpatrick fell through an opening for a stairs onto a concrete floor at Lisdoonvarna, Co Clare; he died three days later.

February 23rd: Mr Richard Cooney was trapped by the movement of a bulldozer, then crushed underneath its wheels at Cahir, Co Tipperary.
