WHO says accountants are a dull lot? One of Dublin's leading firms, Coopers & Lybrand, has lined up a full programme for more than 60 international managers in Dublin this weekend to discuss funds management. The group meets twice a year and it fell to the Dublin team to host the latest gathering.
On Wednesday evening, the group dined in the trendy Peacock Alley restaurant in Dublin, while last night they were addressed by Minister of State, Mr Gay Mitchell, at a gala dinner in Trinity College. Musical entertainment was provided by Na Casaidigh.
The Margin also hears reports of breakaway groups visiting Johnny Fox's pub, although we are assured that it was only "significant others" accompanying the participants and did not include anyone trying to escape the fund management seminar!
