AIB chief executive Bernard Byrne will tell the Oireachtas finance committee today that there will be "no return" to the "old days" of 100 per cent loans for Irish property developers. AIB is also planning to provide a social housing loan to an approved housing body that will facilitate the purchase of more than 150 homes. Ciarán Hancock has the details.

A fund linked to the US investment giant CarVal is pursuing the eldest son of the late developer Jim Mansfield over debts. The fund has more than €400,000 of security on a property that Tony Mansfield owns near Citywest in Dublin. Mark Paul reports.
