The names of 13 national and international companies and consortia which have expressed an interest in building a new terminal at Dublin Airport have been published. The Minister for Transport, Mr Brennan, has also published the names of the panel of experts which is going to review the submissions.
The panel is chaired by Mr Paddy Mullarkey, the former secretary general of the Department of Finance. It also includes Sir Gilbert Thompson OBE, who is credited with the successful development of Manchester Airport, and Mr Paul Gaines, a US expert on airports and aviation issues generally.
The expressions of interest came from the following parties:
HBG Ascon Ltd, Grupo Dragados, and Metropark Ltd.
Hochtief Airport GMBH and Shelbourne Development Ltd. Hocktief, a German airport management company, is involved in a number of projects with Aer Rianta abroad.
Fichtner Airports GMBH and URS (Ireland).
Irish Association of International Express Carriers.
Vinci Park Services Ireland Ltd. A local subsidiary of a French conglomerate.
Laing O'Rourke and Metropark Ltd.

HRL Morrison & Co Ltd.
Dublin Airport Terminal Ltd. Includes Huntstown Air Park and Omega Air, two companies associated with the McEvaddy brothers, and Gannon Properties, a Limerick based property development company.
