Dublin glass-maker Ardagh has applied to have its shares delisted from the London Stock Exchange. The firm, chaired by Mr Paul Coulson, will retain its primary listing on the Dublin Stock Exchange. In an announcement yesterday, the group said the "benefits of the London listing are minimal and the cost of its maintenance is no longer in the interest of Ardagh shareholders as a whole". The turnover in Ardagh shares in London is low and the company has only a small number of UK resident shareholders. The delisting will take place on January 30th.
