Sales and profits at Athlone Extrusions are ahead of last year, the company's annual general meeting was told yesterday.

The chairman, Mr Jack Hayes, said the sales increase was the result of "a wider and better balanced geographic and product mix". "Our investment in additional production capacity is also proceeding to plan," he added.
