BCP Stockbrokers is recommending Citigroup and Wal-Mart Stores as part of its US blue-chip investment portfolio for investors. Other stocks included are General Electric, Exxon Mobil and IBM.

The brokers believe Citigroup's diverse business model leaves it well positioned to weather any difficulties that may arise in the current economic climate.
