The current series of The Money Programme (Sunday, 5.30 p.m., BBC 2) goes out on a high note with a lecture from US conductor Roger Nierenberg backed up by the BBC Concert Orchestra and in front of an audience of leading business people.

Mr Nierenberg equates a conductor's relationship with an orchestra to that of any business leader with their organisation. Get it right and you produce harmony. Get it wrong and effectiveness is undermined by the discordant notes.

We Need Money (Sunday, 8.00 p.m., BBC 2) is the cry from St Paul's Cathedral as the Dean and Chapter instigate plans to increase the marketing potential of the cathedral.

In the aftermath of the second World War, a boom in home ownership spawned a generation of enthusiastic DIYers and a new industry grew up to provide tools and materials for amateur use. The DIY Pioneers this week's programme in the All Mod Cons series (Wednesday, 8.00 p.m., BBC 2) explores this industry and its effect on interior design.

The changing tides in energy production around Europe are explored in Engine Earth (Wednesday, 8.30 p.m., RTE 1) presented by Duncan Stewart. The programme finds that the oldest energy sources - the sun, wind, water and wood are experiencing a come-back using modern materials and cloaked in new jargon. It visits Europe-wide examples of hydro, wind, solar and biomass projects.

As the Irish economy bubbles over with success, the rush and stress can leave little time to take advantage of natural beauty. Ceol na Talun (Wednesday, 8.55 p.m., TnaG), Peadar O Riada's documentary series, captures the natural rhythm and annual cycle on a small farm in Cork and uses O Riada's own musical soundtrack.
