Some timely advice for credit card holders - who can get carried away coming up to Christmas - on Money Box, Sunday, RTE 1, 10.20 p.m. There is a way to use these cards judiciously and avoid all those hidden interest charges - it just takes a little careful planning. In the last in the series Joe Public (Channel 4, 7.30 p.m.), reporter Joe Layburn teams up with a garage licensee in Britain. He is just one of a growing number of angry licensees who are accusing a major petrol company of creaming off the profits and squeezing out the licensees to replace them with their own agents who cost less. The company is not doing anything illegal, the contracts it has with its licensees allow it to change the terms with just 28 days notice. The company denies the allegations, but it's difficult to see its actions as anything other than an attempt to force out licensees and replace them with agents.

The Christmas flower and potted plant market is big business and Mairead McGuinness talks to wholesalers about this year's favourites in Tuesday's Ear to the Ground, RTE 1, 8.30 p.m.

Holiday: Fasten Your Seatbelt features a Christmas special on Tuesday, BBC 1, 7 p.m. The presenters are thrown in the deep end of the travel trade. Craig Doyle is expected to work as a tour rep in Finnish Lapland in temperatures as low as 40 C, while Alice Beer becomes a cast member at Disney World in Florida where the ultimate accolade is a chance to be in the parade.

At 8 p.m. (Tuesday, BBC 1), the Airport Christmas special allows contributors from the last series to try their hands at someone else's job for a day. Heathrow's Aeroflot traffic supervisor Jeremy Spake moves to the Animal Reception Centre where he has to feed and clean the resident snakes - unfortunately Spake is terrified of snakes. Meanwhile, Aer Lingus check-in supervisor Siobhan Feeney and immigration officer Rob Scott take over from the airport's regular reporter and photographer.
