Football Stories: Confessions of a Football Manager (Monday, 9 p.m., Channel 4) meets top football managers. There are things they can change: tactics, training and building team spirit. And there are things they can't: fans, superstar players and their agents, and referees. Managers featured include Arsene Wenger, David O'Leary, George Graham, Joe Royle, Jack Charlton, Harry Redknapp and Martin O'Neil.

Outbreak: The True Story of Foot and Mouth (Tuesday, 9 p.m., Channel 4) investigates the British government's handling of the epidemic and reveals research that it claims shows the outbreak could and should have been brought under control much earlier.

As consumers get nervous that they will be ripped off next January with the introduction of euro, set your video recorder for Funny Money (Wednesday, 4.05 a.m., Channel 4), which traces Britain's tortuous transition from the imperial "LSD" to the decimal currency back in the good old days when a large bar of Cadburys cost 3p.

As business links between the North and South are strengthening, Endgame in Ireland? Talking to Terrorists (Sunday, 10.30 p.m., RTE1) brings insights into the complex process that led to the signing of the Belfast Agreement. The second of four programmes, it looks at the negotiations between "the link" (a group of three Catholics including former priest Denis Bradley), MI5 (whose agent was known as "Fred") and John Major against the background of events including the Warrington bombing.
