Call for applications for EY Entrepreneur of the Year

Nominations can be made until February 29th, with 24 finalists announced in April

Finalists will join a group of 120 EY Entrepreneur of the Year winners and finalists for a chief executive retreat in Boston in the summer.

Those wanting to enter the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 programme have one more week to do so. Nominations can be made until February 29th, with the 24 finalists announced in April.

EY partner in charge of the programme Kevin McLoughlin said the calibre of nominations last year was exceptional. “We are looking forward to welcoming a new cohort of entrepreneurs this year,” he said. Last year’s winner, Stripe, represents Ireland at the World Entrepreneur of the Year in June.

“We anticipate another strong year of nominations in 2016, and would particularly like to encourage female entrepreneurs or those involved in family-run businesses to apply,” he said.

The programme is open to entrepreneurs in all sectors and growth stages from the island of Ireland. The awards programme is divided into three categories: emerging, industry and international. There will be eight finalists in each category.
