The cafe, catering and beverages group, Campbell Bewley, said yesterday it had appointed Mr Dan Cronin as its new chief executive. He succeeds Mr Michael Cummins, who stepped down in April. Mr Cronin (46) joined the group in 1995 as managing director of Campbell Catering, and most recently held the position of group operations director.

The group's chairman, Mr Pat Campbell, said: "Dan has a wealth of experience in our business and has been a driving force in successfully expanding the group's activities abroad. He has an excellent track record both in the industry and at Campbell Bewley group."
