With an ever increasing number of private investors chasing retail investments in Dublin city, Savills is unlikely to have any difficulty finding a buyer for the high profile retail building at 34 O’Connell Street which was occupied for decades by the Best men’s fashion store.

Stephen McCarthy of Savills is guiding €1.1 million for the five-storey building at the junction of O’Connell Street and North Earl Street which has an overall floor area of 331sq m (3,563sq ft) and retail use at basement, ground, first and second floors.

The building is let to the Irish tour group Paddy Wagon Ltd on a 20-year lease from 2015 at a rent of €86,000 per annum. There is a tenant break in year 10.
