A well-located commercial site opposite Briarhill shopping centre on the outskirts of Galway city goes for sale from today through joint agents Jones Lang LaSalle and Keane Mahony Smith.

Offers above €1.2 million are being sought for the 0.67 of a hectare (1.66 acres) with 177 metres of road frontage.

The plot is presently used as a temporary overflow car park for Western Motors.

The current zoning will allow a new owner to use the site for enterprise, light industrial and commercial use but, interestingly, the Galway City Development Plan has confirmed that “an exception for the consideration of a food store and restaurant use will apply” in this instance.
