ResidentialLand: A site of 5.8 acres (2.35 hectares) opposite Finnstown Country House Hotel in Lucan, Co Dublin, is expected to make in the region of €20 million when it is sold at tender on April 11th.
Lisney is handling the sale of the site which is zoned for residential use.
Developers could expect to get planning permission for at least 25 residential units per acre with the possibility of more if part of the site is used for apartments.
Interestingly, a planning application for a residential development on the lands has never been made.
The property, known as Coolamber, includes a 325sq m (3,500sq ft) house dating from 1948 with a gate-lodge and stables.
It has frontage on to Lock Road which, in turn, leads on to the Lucan bypass and the village centre. The house, which is unlisted, is likely to be demolished along with other buildings on the site.
The land is well located opposite the proposed new town, Adamstown, which will eventually have about 25,000 residents.
