THE TECHNOLOGY company 3M is to relocate its Irish headquarters from the Adelphi Centre in Dún Laoghaire to The Park in Carrickmines where it has bought the top floor of a newly developed office block.

3M is likely to have paid in the region of €5 million for 1,236sq m (13,000sq ft) on the fourth floor of The Iveagh Building which has retail units at street level. A fit-out of the space has already begun and the company will move in during March.

3M’s decision to choose The Park was influenced by the high quality of the office accommodation as well as its location along the M50. “The close proximity to the M50 will make it easier for our customers from all over Ireland to visit our offices where we have a wide product range to meet their needs,” says Rob Mol, general manager of 3M Ireland. He said that as an international company it was also important to have easy access to Dublin Airport.

Michael Healy of Savills advised Park Developments and Paul Hipwell acted for 3M.
